Piano Major Chords

The picture above shows you the piano major chord scales each major chord has a root note,
a note a Major third (M3) or minor third (m3) above the Root and a note a Perfect fifth (P5), Augmented fifth (A5), or diminished fifth above the Root.

Example:

If we choose a Major chord for example we begin by picking a Root note. We could pick any of the 12 notes but in this case we will choose G. The next note we need is a Major third (M3) above the Root, which in this case would be the note B. The final note we need is a Perfect fifth above the root, which in this case would be the note D. Now we have all three notes of our Major chord: G, B, and D.

Or another way of finding the major chords is putting your finger on a note then counting to 4 and putting your second finger on the next note and then 7 and your third finger on the last note, when counting include the semi-tone.

Finger Cross Over

This video shows you how do a finger cross over, this is a good exercise if want to play notes next to each other all the way down the scale with out the struggle of changing hand. This is also a good tecnique if you want the song to flow that has more than 5 notes next to each other without a gap in the process. The main reason for this though is so you dont run out of hand room which would make it awkward to change.

Different Types Of Finger Excersises For Piano

There are many different finger exercise but the main ones are legato and staccato, i have chosen these because i am a begginer learner of the piano and these exercise help you to start of and give you your basic key skills, these exersises are to increase and progress your finger control and co-ordination which would mean you can play smoother faster notes resulting in a better proformance

The first exercise is legato:

The meanin of this exercise is to learn how to play smoothly so it flows more easily and with out breaks or silence between notes.

The second excersise is staccato:

Where legato focuses on playin smoothly and notes sounding joint together, staccato is the oppisit and focuses on short snappy notes which are not sounding joint together
